(Nigeria) An Ota Magistrates' Court in Ogun State, on Wednesday remanded two men, Idowu Ojo, 18, and Bello Adura, 19, in prison custody for alleged raped.
The accused, whose addresses were not disclosed to the court, are facing a two-count charge of conspiracy and raping a 15-year-old girl (name withhled).
The Prosecutor, Cpl. Abdulkareem Mustapha, told the court that accused and others still at large, committed the offences on May 16 at about 11.20 a.m., at Ewupe Area, Ota.
Mustapha said that the accused and their accomplices conspired among themselves to sleep with the girl without her consent.
He said that the offences contravened Sections 358 and 516 of the Criminal Code Laws of Ogun State, 2006.
The accused however, pleaded not guilty to the charges.
The Chief Magistrate, Mrs A.I. Adelaja, ordered that the accused should be remanded in prison custody pending the advice from the State Director of Public Prosecutions, DPP, on the matter.
The case was adjourned till July 29 for report of file duplication.
